When it comes to running a small business, either from home or in an office, it is vital that you fully stock your business with supplies. I’ve shared a Staples $20 off coupon with you before but it comes with a $150 minimum purchase. It’s not hard to rack up the bill, especially if your business needs a new external hard drive or a new printer. Even school supplies can easily make up for the $150 minimum. Here’s the coupon anyways: 5991592125470472. Use it online or by phone.
Any of you planning a Walt Disney World vacation? If so and you are planning to stay onsite at one of the WDW resorts then get free shuttle service from Orlando airport to your Disney resort. This is called the Disney Magical Express and is available to guests staying at all the WDW resort hotels. To get this service, simply ask for it by name when reserving your WDW vacation. Reservations made prior to 30 days from departure will get special luggage tags sent to you. Disney will automatically transfer your luggage from the airport to the resort.
While in Florida, rent a mid-size SUV from Dollar for only $37.99 per day. Or in Tampa, get a mid-size SUV for only $169.00 per week from Alamo.
Mini and Free Software January 7, 2009

If I was in the market for a small, compact notebook computer to carry around on my travels, I would choose the HP Mini 1010NR Atom Notebook. With its built-in 802.11b/g, I can connect to the internet via a hotspot or wi-fi connection. It has a full-size keyboard and a 8.9 inch display, not to shabby for a quick email on the road or to watch a dvd movie on a plane. The best thing when travelling is its weight. Coming in at 2.23 pounds, the HP Mini is perfect for school and for carrying around. Its small footprint runs at 1.66 GHz and has a 8GB hard drive. At eCost, you can pick one up for $406.99.
These days, memory is cheap. You can get 1 terrabyte external hard drives for under $120. What’s not cheap is software. Microsoft Office is roughly $110 to $170, depending on if you are a student or not. With Microsoft Office, you have a word processor, spreadsheet and a presentation tool. The good thing about MS Office is that you can run it on a Windows PC or on a Mac. The bad thing is that you cannot readily share documents created in MS Office with your friends unless they have MS Office. Until now…
Check out ZOHO. On this website, you have access to a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, email, public repository, notebook taker, planner, database application, web conferencing, report writer, human resource tracker and more. The price? For an individual, it’s free. For a business, fees will vary but compare that to multi-user or site licences and you will find ZOHO to be competitively priced. The nice thing about ZOHO is that you don’t need to install anything on your PC and you don’t need to worry about upgrading the software which usually results to compatibility issues or increased costs.

Everybody is going to budget-minded this Christmas. And talk about Budget, be sure to use BCD code U114800 to save on your Christmas rental. In Vancouver, you can rent a economy/compact car for only $45 for a 3-day rental from December 16th to 19th. I’ve been shopping and comparing with Thrifty’s using the code: LM78 and it comes close. Remember, the trick is picking up the car from a non-airport location to save on airport taxes. In Vancouver, the tax is well over 17% which cancels out alot of promo code rates.
Alot of people are going to strap down their budget and shop for themselves. If you are looking to stock your house, perhaps your new renovated basement with a home theatre, spa or home office, here’s a free visitor’s pass to DirectBuy. We’ve seen the ads on tv where they say you can save up to 50% off all your home remodelling and fixtures.
And if you have golfers on your Christmas list, check out all the golf shirts and windshirts by Antigua and Oakley at savings up to 75% off at Knetgolf. To take advantage of this special, be sure to use the coupon code: SHIRT.

Since getting my Plantronics 520 bluetooth headset, I’ve noticed less headaches when I talk on my cellphone. Also I find it a lot safer while driving to and from work. If you know someone who talks on their cellphone a lot during their drive then do them a favor and get them a headset.
I’ll even give you a coupon code: 5313492125470476 to use at Staples to get a free Jabra headset. Use this coupon when you purchase more than $150 worth of office supplies, school supplies, a new computer or inkjet printer cartridges. Whatever you buy, just make sure you total more than $150 to get your free headset.
My Plantronics 520 is ideal for people on the go. Just plug in the charger and it can be used for days on standby. When a call comes in, you simply push the button on the headset to answer. To sign off, you press the same button. It’s an intelligent button, as you turn the unit on/off, volume up/down and send/receive. I use it with a Motorola RAZR but other phones work with it too.
If you don’t need office supplies to get your free Jabra headset, get a Plantronics 520 noise-cancelling headset for under $50 from eCost.

If you were the person that commented on my blog about how coupons can save you money and was wondering about other car rental codes then this blog is for you.
I just received some discount codes to use for Alamo car rentals. I used it tonight and rebooked my car rental in June, saving myself $15 off a weekend rental. Originally, I used a code listed on our website and got a daily rate of $15.75 per day for a compact car while all the other agencies were charging $17 to $38.75 per day. With the additional coupon code 15OFF08 entered in the coupon field, I received a discount of $15 off the total of my rental. Instead of paying $98, I’m going to pay $79 for a 3-day rental. You may want to keep this code in your pocket because it can be used up to June 30, 2008.
If you are renting in the US, try using the contract id: USA to save up to 10% off participating locations. Or if you renting in Europe, get a free upgrade when you use the contract id: EUROPE1. Both codes expire on June 30, 2008.

Now that I am wirelessly surfing the net at home, I decided to save some money on making long distance calls. I am not about to tell you about SKYPE because I have tried it and do not like the fact that you have to buy special SKYPE accessories and handsets.
A new thing on the market allows you to use your home phone, simply by connecting it to the magicJack telephone adapter. There is no software to install on your PC or Mac and all it takes is your high-speed internet connection. Everything is self-contained in the magicJack. I know what you are saying, you have tried Skype and do not like the quality. I agree and it is because with Skype, they lease the services from other carriers instead of having their own dedicated network. That is why Skype cannot guarantee the quality nor reliability. With magicJack, they have their own dedicated telephone network but they have to charge you $20 per year to use it.
The magicJack sells for under $40 and the first year of use is free. After that it is $20 per year which is still cheaper than any monthly long distance package out there. I like it because you can choose your own number and you can put all your contacts together right on the magicJack which is great for travelling with.
Wherever you are, as long as you have access to Wi-Fi or to a high-speed internet connection, a computer with a USB port running Windows XP or Vista, you can plug it in and start calling. In time, they will have the Mac/Apple connection which I hope can be connected to my iPod Touch for easy calling anywhere in Canada or the US.

If you haven’t picked up your free vacation offer yet, today is the day to do so. And since you’re there, you might as well take advantage of the free printer too. Unfortunately, the free printer is only available today. Sorry about the short notice but I only found out about it less than an hour ago. Featured is the Epson CX7400 All-in-One Color Inkjet printer that can print up to 28 pages per minute and can print directly from a memory card or camera without a computer. Both of these offers are under our Free Stuff section. The Epson comes with an Auto-Photo Correction to make sure your photos come out brilliant. That’s almost like bringing your memory card into Wal-Mart’s kiosks and having it printed professionally. If you have read my earlier blog on Free Printers and have been waiting for the right printer to come along, here it is. Get it before they sell out.
The Costco of Airfares March 26, 2008

I have a friend who works for the airlines and when she flies to Vancouver, she pays only the fuel charge which can be under $10. Another friend of mine flew to Thailand last year for only $30 each way. She doesn’t work for the airline but she works for one of the wholesale travel consolidators.
The only airline I know that offers incredible fares like that is RyanAir and they fly strictly in Europe. I’ve seen special fares on Delta, Virgin and British Airways’ websites sometimes but who has the time to check them all for the best fare when you’re looking for deals? I don’t know about you, but I sure like a way to enter it once and have all these sites checked out for me.
The little voice inside of me is saying, ‘there is’. But only an hour ago did I learn of this. There is now a website that offers two services with the first one serving my immediate need. I can enter my flight information once and have it look at all travel sites and bring me back a list of the best fares. I normally like shopping at Travelocity for airfare and hotels, and I’m always curious at what Hotwire can do for me in terms of bids. Well, this site is going to save me some serious time because it will look at Travelocity for me, on top of all the airlines’ sites too. If it finds a lowest bid on Hotwire, it will bring that information to me too. That’s fantastic – and all that is for free. If you’re interested in using this free service, please come to our site and sign up for a FREE GOLD membership.
Before you run off to sign up for this free service, how would you like to get fares like my friends do? I mean $30 to Thailand from North America? That’s amazing to say the least. Well, the second service that this website offers is that they have access to wholesale ticket prices. It’s like shopping at Costco for wholesale goods. For $50 per year, you can get access to wholesale prices for airfares. My friend who works for the wholesale company tells me that the only people that have access to wholesale prices are other airlines and cruise companies. Airlines use wholesale tickets to fly their own people around such as pilots and navigators, or they use it to fly people on a grievance reason (ie. someone who is mourning for a loss of a loved one).
Don’t waste time Google-ing the internet for wholesale travel consolidators because you won’t find any true ones. You’ll get sites claiming the real McCoys but they are just travel agencies posing to be travel consolidators. The way to get access to wholesale prices is to sign up as a Platinum member here. Other than wholesale prices, you also get to bid for air fares like Hotwire and Priceline. You state a price that you are willing to pay for and they will search their consolidators for a company who is willing to take up on your offer.
What do you have to lose? Sign up for the free gold membership and save yourself some time and money, looking for the best fare on the internet. If you travel frequently on business or for leisure then sign up as a Platinum member. Check with the person who buys the airfares for your company. Get them to sign up as a Platinum member for the company then you can benefit from lower fares. If you own your business then sign up and have the company write it off. Either way, it will save someone money the first time they book a fare or get a rebate back. Perhaps, you have read my earlier blog on getting together and planning a trip as a group. Get the group organizer to sign up as a Platinum member and take advantage of wholesale prices for the entire group. If you’re not ready to sign up as a Platinum member, then at least, get the free gold membership from our site.

I just came back from the Source (formerly called Radio Shack) with a new Lexmark Z1420 Wi-Fi printer. I picked it up for an incredible $59.99 and with the recycle fee of $8.00 and taxes, it came out to $71 – not bad considering that when I hook it up, I can print anywhere in the house, wirelessly.
I’m a true believer of technology. In this day and age, we should be utilizing what’s out there rather than to stay in our comfort zone and use what we’ve been using for the last twenty years or so. Wi-Fi has been around for a number of years and a lot of my friends and colleagues have been utilizing it alot longer than I have. The reason is because I’m cheap and didn’t care to change my set up, until now. This is excellent for anyone with a small office, home office setup because you can have this printer downstairs near your business and still print from it upstairs.
Last year at this time, multi-function inkjet printers that had Wi-Fi capabilities were selling for $250 and up. Some were Wi-Fi ready and could be upgraded for $50 more. But Lexmark wanted to change the face of printing, so they were among the first companies to offer more affordable Wi-Fi printers, starting with the model that I bought today. As of last year May, the Lexmark Z1420 was the most inexpensive printer you can buy that has Wi-Fi. And looking at HP, Brother and other manufacturers, I think Lexmark still holds the record.
For those of you who have sat back and watched me pick up the TrendNet Wireless Router last week and now the Lexmark Z1420 Wi-Fi printer this week, and think you’re ready to get off the couch then I have a deal for you. Please come to our site and pick up the package for $39.99 for both but do so before March 31st because this offer expires.

I bought myself a wireless router today and I have to admit, I got a pretty good deal out of it. I paid $29.99 for the TrendNet Wireless G Router and with a $20.00 mail-in rebate, I will end up paying just $9.99. That’s pretty cheap to pay for a wireless router that has 4-ports and operates at 54 Mbps.
If you have visited our site lately, you would have noticed a few more freebies that made it on the list today. Among the list is the Art Explosion Scrapbooking software, Logitech Vantage headset for the Playstation 2/3 or PC and the “Y” monitor splitter cable from Cables Unlimited. All of these items are free if you go ahead and buy them then send in the mail-in rebate form that you download from merchant’s site. It’s easy so don’t worry about it.
By now, you must be wondering why manufacturers are interested in giving your money back (through their rebate program). You won’t believe the reason and once I tell you, you’re going to shake your head and laugh. Here it goes.
Manufacturers are counting on people to forget sending in their rebate. I know this sounds ridiculous to some of you, but it’s (sadly) true. Have you sent in a rebate lately? Well, let me walk you through the process and perhaps, you can see why so many people fumble up and fail to get a rebate.
First, I have to cut out the UPC symbol on the box. Believe it or not, some people don’t know what the UPC symbol is, let alone find it on the box. Second, the mail-in rebate form has to be attached. I was lucky to download the rebate form before ordering it so I’m ahead of the game there. It may not be evident that the form needs to be downloaded, printed and filled out. Next, I have to take my receipt and circle the price on it then put it into an envelope with the UPC symbol and the completed form with my name and address. Now, where do I send it? I’m used to sending in rebates so I know that the address is printed on the rebate form. Other people think differently. Some will send it to the manufacturer’s address printed on the box. Others will send it back to where they bought the item. Manufacturers hate me but love the latter two customers.
Rebates are here to stay and if you are interested in saving money or getting things free, get good at using rebates. By the way, the items listed on the second page under the Free Stuff section of our site uses coupons, not rebates. Coupons give you an instant saving and are more no-brainers than rebates.
