Can I be a kid again? I tell you, I think kids today have it good. For example, did you know that kids get to fly free to Disneyland on Alaska Airlines all summer long? Yep, with one adult fare, your kid (ages 2-11) gets to fly free to Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, Burbank and San Diego airports. On top of that, if you buy a 3-day or longer Disneyland Resort Park Hopper ticket at regular price, you’ll receive 2 days free.
Another vacation you can bring your kids to where they don’t have to pay a cent is to Cancun. Kids under 12 can stay for free while an adult pays $545 for 3 nights at the Riu Caribe Cancun - all inclusive with airfare is included. That means all meals, drinks and snacks are included with this price. Not a bad deal.
Next time you’re planning a vacation and need to stay at a hotel, try to stay at a hotel that lets kids stay for free with a parent. Holiday Inn is one where kids under 19 can stay free when they share a room with their parents. If they order from the kids menu in the hotel restaurant, they get their meals free. Other hotels include ResortQuest in Hawaii, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Folio Hotels and Best Western in Great Britain. Even at resorts around the world have this policy. For instance, SuperClubs, Breezes in Curacao, Occidental Resorts in Dominican Republic, Mexico and Costa Rica, Club Med at Phuket, Bali, Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Adventure Bound Camping Resort and many, many more.
When it comes to eating, kids eat free almost everywhere. One website to check out is KiddieMenu where you just enter your zip code and a list of restaurants show you where your kids can get a free meal.
For a limited time (until the end of May), your kids can sail for free from July 14 - September 29 on all 3 or 4-day cruises from Miami to the Bahamas. Check this out on our website on our new Kids page where we have all the ‘freebies’ for them and all the offers I’ve blogged about.
The moral of the story is to not leave your kids at home while you plan a vacation without them. There are enough places in the world that offers free accomodations, admissions and meals to them. Remember, they don’t stay as kids forever and before you know it, they’ll be off on their own vacations.
