If it’s good enough for a celebrity to shop at Marshall’s and Ross stores in LA then it must be good enough for us to shop there too. I saw Keisha Whitaker who is the wife of Forest Whitaker from the movie ‘The Last King of Scotland’ on Oprah say that she likes shopping at these stores because there are some incredible deals there. I agree. When we are in US, we like shopping there too. In Canada, we have Winners which is basically the same thing.
This weekend we found some interesting buys that would have cost us more if we had shopped elsewhere. You know that I was looking for new golf shoes, well I did managed to find a pair that I liked. I found the same pair of FootJoy’s that was selling at Sport Chek for $59.99, for only $39.99 at Winner’s. They also had a pair of Oakley’s for $49.99, marked down from $129.99. My wife also picked up a pair of Adidas golf shoe for $49.99, marked down from $129.99.
Also in the shoe section, I found myself a pair of Keen’s sandals with a rubber toe guard for $49.99 that originally sold for $109.99. If you haven’t discovered Keen shoes yet, I advise you to take a look the next time you’re in a shoe store such as RnR, Shoe Warehouse or REI. I am a big fan of Keen and own three pairs of its rubber toe guarded sandals. My wife loves it too, especially after she broke her front toe walking into a wooden palette at the supermarket. Keen makes some of the best hiking shoes around and is comparable to Merrell, Salomon and Teva.
Over in the winter clearance department, we managed to find a three-quarter length Eddie Bauer down jacket for my mom. Sold for $169.99 in negative degree weather, it was clearing for just $69.99. I also bought myself a couple of Ashworth golf shirts for less than $30 each, that are worth double the price at Golf Town.
Shopping in weekends like you is quiet interesting. The prices of the golf shoes, keens sandals are very less. The new golf shoes are very nice. I love it too, especially the hiking shoes.
