It was a great show from the red carpet to the stage. I saw Avril Lavigne, Feist, Finger Eleven, Hedley, Ill Scarlet, Jully Black, Anne Murray, Paul Brandt, Michael Buble and more. The sound system was awesome and they had video running on large screens that rendered my binoculars useless. Host Russell Peters said this was the best ticket in Canada last night and he was right. With performances by Avril Lavigne, Jully Black, Finger Eleven and the boys from Hedley, the Junos was described as a rock marathon. From the awards perspective, it was a total upset for artists like Celine Dion (who didn’t show) and Avril Lavigne (who performed her hot single, Girlfriend). Calgary raised Feist took home not 1-2-3-4 but 5 Junos.
